Staff and customers at Winford Road Garage near Bristol have celebrated the business’ 45th anniversary with a day of fun.

Activity included a bouncy castle, a barbecue and refreshments, as well as promotional deals in store and a cake with a photograph of the store printed on it.

Meanwhile, staff at Spar-branded Queens Garage in Indian Queens, Cornwall, raised £1,530 for Cancer Research following a special fundraising day. The Mitchell family, who run the site, said: "We were hoping to raise £1,000 so we’re delighted we’ve managed to exceed this."
