Top 50 Indie Grove Retail acquires two Scottish sites
Fairfield Service Station

Top 50 Indie Grove Retail has acquired two petrol filling stations from Motor Fuel Group, adding to its portfolio of petrol filling stations in central Scotland.

Fairfield Service Station in Broxburn and Bawbee Filling Station in Leven were acquired for Grove Retail by the specialist Petroleum and Roadside Services Team of property consultancy Graham + Sibbald.

Fairfield Service Station sits on the busy Edinburgh Road (A89), 12 miles west of Edinburgh city centre and has high volumes of passing trade. The site is Shell-branded and has a Starbucks Drive Thru and Greggs Drive To located adjacent.

Bawbee Service Station in Leven, fronts Methilhaven Road (A955). It has a prominent position and potential other uses are being considered on site that will further boost the offering.

John Docherty, associate at Graham + Sibbald, who acted on behalf of Grove Retail, commented: “We were absolutely delighted to act on our client’s behalf with the purchase of two successfully operated sites to further bolster its portfolio in Scotland. We are looking forward to seeing our client improve these sites and build on the already well performing sites.”

Grove Retail director Chelvatheebam Chelvam, said: “I can’t thank Graham + Sibbald enough for their efforts in acquiring suitable sites for my business. The process was smooth from start to finish thanks to their expertise and level of communication. I look forward to using their services again in the near future.”

The sites were acquired for an undisclosed price.

In Forecourt Trader’s most recent Top 50 Indies, published in March, Grove Retail was ranked 22nd  with 12 sites.
