A court has heard how a petrol station employee was viciously attacked and repeatedly kicked as he lay on the forecourt.

The victim – who had earlier been taunted with calls of ‘Paki’ from his two attackers – has been so traumatised by the incident that he has given up his job at an Esso filling station on Leicester’s Narborough Road. Sitting at Leicester Crown Court, Judge Michael Stokes QC jailed 20-year-old Damien Richardson, of Braunstone Lane, Leicester for 18 months after he admitted causing actual bodily harm in the attack last June.

The court heard that he was under the influence of drink and drugs when he carried out the attack.
