An assistant at a Top 50 Indie forecourt has been attacked during a robbery.

He was working at Brobot’s site at Egginton in south Derbyshire, when the robbers struck just after midnight on November 10.

Police believe the raiders smashed the window of the service station and then punched the assistant in the face. He was then restrained while cash was taken before the raiders left.

When the police arrived the assistant was checked over and his injuries were not judged to be serious.

The police said they had few details of the attackers and they want to find out more information about them, what car they were driving and where they were heading.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, is asked to call Derbyshire Police using the non-emergency 101 number, quoting incident reference number 47583/14 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

Brobot operates 23 sites in the east Midlands and was ranked tenth in the most recent Top 50 Indies.
