BP has re-launched the BP Supercharge Fuel Card with no transaction fee for customers and, it says, no hidden charges. It adds there will be no change to retailers’ transaction fees.

The card is managed by Allstar Business Solutions and will enable businesses’ drivers to fill up across the Allstar network of 8,000 UK petrol stations, including all major fuel brands, motorway service stations and supermarkets.

BP says the card could save a fleet with 100 vehicles approximately £13,000 a year in transaction fees alone.

Head of BP fuel cards Ranjeev Baines said: “We know many fleets are concerned by unexpected or additional refuelling costs and surcharges. As such, the BP Supercharge Fuel Card will appeal to those fleets that want the choice and convenience of refuelling almost anywhere in the UK but don’t want to pay above pump price to do so. BP Supercharge provides access to 8,000 sites at pump price with no transaction fee.”

The BP Supercharge Fuel Card is subject to annual card fees which vary by the size of fleet. Companies with 1-99 vehicles will pay £24 per card a year, dropping to £18 per card for fleets of 100 – 199 and down to £12 per card for fleets of 200 vehicles or more.

Customers receive an HMRC approved electronic invoice each week detailing all transactions for your fleet and accounts can be managed online.
