Vendlink International and brand-leading pos printer manufacturer Star Micronics, have confirmed the country-wide roll out of a self-service unit developed for pre-paid mobile telephone top up.
The ‘yq?’ unit – equipped with what is claimed to be the world’s fastest pos printer, the TSP700 – has been developed to eliminate queues by separating those customers solely requiring mobile telephone top-ups from the primary retail consumers.
To use yq?, consumers simply select their telephone service provider and the value of their top-up, insert the equivalent cash and are then presented with a TSP700-produced receipt confirming the details of their transaction and their unique top-up code.
Retailers using yq? will be able to instantly generate individual special offers, coupons and ads on receipts; while sales promotions can be instigated within a few minutes.
