Police investigating a robbery at a BP garage in Hythe, Kent, have released images of a man they want to speak to.

A man entered the garage at Military Road at 9.40pm on Tuesday, January 15, and pulled out a machete from his jeans. He waved it in front of staff and demanded they put tobacco in his bag.

He left with hundreds of pounds of cigarettes and a small amount of cash.

The suspect is described as white, of slim build and 6ft 2in tall. He was wearing distinctive blue jeans and was travelling in a dark blue BMW 3 series two-door coupe. Two other people were seen inside the car.

Police would like to hear from anyone who knows the identity of the man in the image.
