Independent retailers will have the opportunity to privately meet with representatives from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) at ForecourtExpo this Thursday (October 4) to talk about their response to its call for information on the fuel retailing sector.

The Petrol Retailers’ Association has arranged for OFT project director Jon Riley and colleague Terry Ridout to attend an afternoon session at the NEC Hilton Metropole from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

Retailers who book an interview slot will have 10-15 minutes to discuss the OFT questionnaire and their response; the ‘call for information’ process and timeline; their understanding of evidence to detail any perceived market abuse (bring examples); and the procedure for an OFT Market Study under the terms of the Enterprise Act 2002, if justified by evidence gathered.

The questionnaire can be downloaded from www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/markets-work/road-fuels-questionnaire.pdf

To book your interview slot email dawn@createthedesireltd.co.uk.
