This autumn will see the return of two successful Christmas impulse lines from Nestlé.

According to IRI data, the Quality Street My Purple Bar was the number one seasonal confectionery product within independents last autumn, contributing £1.1m in value sales.

This year it has refreshed packaging aimed at giving it better stand-out on-shelf.

It is also moving to a 30-count outer to make it more affordable for smaller retailers. Recommended retail price (rrp) is 65p.

Also returning is the Aero Christmas Tree (also with a rrp of 65p), with its combination of milk chocolate and bubbly green mint. It was the second best-selling seasonal impulse line after Quality Street My Purple One last year.

It too has new-look packaging, this time designed to make it more appealing to women.
