Jet has agreed a new partnership deal with the Post Office to introduce a cash management service for its dealers.

A spokesman for the company explained that in the recession a growing number of customers were paying in cash for their fuel and goods on forecourts, increasing the amount of cash ’sitting’ on sites: "This not only has safety risks for staff, but the money is often not insured."

The service will be tailored to the needs of each site, said the spokesman: "It will save dealer’s money when banking their cash; give them comprehensive cash management advice; and also eliminate some of the other risks they face having cash held on site.

"The Post Office is a perfect partner for Jet. It has a synergy with Jet’s values and provide services for and is trusted by local communities which aligns with Jet’s strapline ’Fuelling the local Community’."
