Southam Total/Spar forecourt in Warwickshire became the focal point of Total’s annual MPG Marathon as the only allowed pit stop for racers to fill up their vehicles.

Sponsored by Total Eco10, the two-day 400-mile marathon saw more than 40 cars compete for the best miles per gallon from one tank of Total Excellium.

Drivers and customers at the Southam service station were treated to the Total Eco10 Pit Stop Girls handing out free food and helping with the refuelling of vehicles before they all set off on the last leg of the marathon.

This year’s winner managed an impressive 94.65 miles per gallon.
