Food Connections has launched new energy boost bar Wired. Containing caffeine and taurine, the 80g bar is said to have the equivalent kick to leading energy drinks but with the added bonus of oats, so enabling a longer-lasting energy fix.
"The need for an energy boost is the biggest reason for purchase," says Phil Haggis, Food Connections managing director.
"The product benefits from all the major trends: convenience; consumers’ desire for meal replacement alternatives; and the demand for portable snacks."
