Shell expands trial

 

 

Shell UK has expanded its trial with Waitrose to offer its convenience products at three additional sites. Shell, which originally announced the trial with Waitrose in November, said the latest move followed ’extremely positive feedback’ from customers who had commented on the quality and enhanced choice of food and products available. The three new sites are Shell Cressex, situated near Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire, Shell Ockbrook, in Derby, and also Shell Leicester.

 

 

CWA launches PR drive

 

 

The Car Wash Association (CWA) has teamed up with marketing consultants The Remarkable Group to push forward its agenda for 2010. CWA chairman David Charman said the first step involved getting PPG13 environmental standards adopted into law. In partnership with The Remarkable Group, it has also launched a study aimed at driving a B2B and B2C awareness campaign and changing perceptions on car washing. This includes informing consumers that modern car wash equipment is safe and easy to use.

 

 

Texaco cleans up

 

 

Texaco and specialist media agency Ambient Media are running a reverse graffiti ad campaign to show the cleaning properties of its Techron additive. According to Ambient, it has created a 50ft-long mural in Cardiff, including a picture of a Welsh dragon. After removing existing graffiti, a team painted the wall black and stuck on stencils. They recleaned through the holes with a high-powered water hose to make the pictures.
