Wilson Girvan has switched his Fort Augustus store from Spar to Londis to match his award-winning forecourt store at Aberfeldy, run by his son Blair.

The Fort Augustus store has seen more than a few changes since 1971 when Wilson took it on as a rundown and bankrupt garage, joining Spar in 1992 while Londis was still south of the border. He decided to switch allegiance this year. "Londis is very good on price and product range and the shop itself looks really good. I worked hard with the Londis team to get it just right, and it just keeps getting better. We have three deliveries a week and 30% more products. The £90k refit pushed turnover up to £20,000 a week and over £40,000 at the height of the tourist season."
