Three fraudsters operating an international credit card scam via petrol stations have been jailed. They used a Leicester warehouse to store footage, from covert cameras, of PIN numbers being inputted into pads at garages across the country.
All admitted conspiring to defraud clearing banks between January 1, 2007 and March 13 this year. One was jailed for four-and-a-half-years and the other two for three years.
Police found computers containing hundreds of cards, a card reader and a BP name badge. The conmen even took over petrol stations and bribed staff as part of the scam, the court was told.
