HTEC owner Universe combines with Celtech
06 May, 2019

Universe Group, the parent company of HTEC, has combined with Celtech Software. Celtech is a developer of retail and wholesale management solutions (RMS) based in Dublin. Its ab-initio software product is a cloud-based RMS offering that gives large, multi-site operators a modular suite operating in real-time and allowing them to control all aspects of their business with full reporting, insights and analytics. As such, it meets the needs of Universe's larger customers and broadens the Group's customer base in the UK and Ireland.

Approximately 14,000 users log into ab-initio every day to manage their retail and wholesale businesses and the platform has processed over 38 billion transactions since its deployment. Customers include Bestway, One Stop and several co-ops

Darragh Fanning, MD of Celtech, said Universe has an impressive track record with customers such as Asda, Morrisons, large forecourt operators and most major symbol groups. He said their 250 employees, 40 field engineers and 60 helpdesk staff provide first rate customer support, and he was very excited about the prospects for the new combined group.

As the Government is urged to publish its plans for E10 by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for British Bioethanol, would you welcome the introduction of E10 as the right next step in cutting automotive carbon emissions?
