Henderson Technology has announced the integration of Zapper into EDGEPoS.
Zapper is a mobile app which allows customers to pay for shopping with their smartphone and also take advantage of digital vouchers and competitions.
To use the Zapper app, customers scan a QR code at the till and payment, including voucher redemption and loyalty card updates, are processed in just a few seconds.
Andrew Davis, owner of Spar Titanic Belfast who piloted the Zapper app, said: “Offering Zapper has allowed us to offer a personal touch to our shoppers. We can send targeted messages and promotions directly to our customers to encourage repeat business and reward our top customers. It has digitalised all of our loyalty cards into one app, and at the same time given us a tool to see our customer’s trends in shopping.”
Darren Nickels, head of Henderson Technology, commented: “Integrating Zapper with EDGEPoS has allowed our retailers to offer a three-in-one secure app facilitating mobile payment, rewards and in app-targeted marketing. Zapper is also fully integrated into our EDGEPoS Self-Checkout, allowing the customer a speedy transaction, while being rewarded for shopping in-store.”
