HTEC has cemented its position as payments specialist in the forecourt market by reaching a landmark 1,500 installations of its Gempay 3 payment solution. At the same time, the company announced that more than 1,000 sites have the technology installed.

The 1,500th installation took place at Kay Porthill Service Station, near Stoke-on-Trent.

Gempay 3 brings contactless payment and updated security to thousands of customers and supports a wide range of bank and oil company cards including contactless, Apple Pay and loyalty.

The Gempay 3 terminal also boasts a colour touchscreen enabling the opportunity for future enhancements and its PCI level 4 compliance ensures the maximum operating life, providing customers with the best possible return on investment.

Wayne Swallow, managing director of HTEC said:“We’re delighted to have reached 1,500 Gempay 3 terminal installations at over 1,000 sites following its rollout in September last year. In conjunction with our payment partners this takes the total number of Gempay terminals in use in the UK to over 4,500.”
