The Fraser Group has unveiled its latest site redevelopment at Cannon Pool Service Station in Witney, Oxfordshire, completing the relaunch of all its five sites in the past three years. The rural Cannon Pool site has been owned and run by the Frasers for 30 years, and reached a crossroads four years ago when it could have been sold for housing. Instead, in 2003 the company decided to buy the house next door in order to get the extra piece of land for car parking.

"It was the move that made all the difference," said Robert Fraser. Since then £750,000 has been invested in the site, with the latest development giving it a new forecourt, as well as a bigger and better Spar shop. "We’re thrilled with the finished product that we will be offering to our customers," said Fraser.

The site, which is managed by mother and daughter team Trish Parrott and Ginette Cole, has remained open throughout its refurbishment. The recent work included new fuel storage tanks, pipework, canopy and pumps, with BP Ultimate unleaded and diesel available on all islands. A new wash centre is also about to be installed and will include a state-of-the-art car wash and an extra jet wash. The Spar store has been extended to 140sq m, with a third till point added, as well as extended off licence, fresh produce and grocery ranges. It will also stock produce sourced from local and regional suppliers, with regular in-store tastings.

The Frasers have also launched a new website - frasergroup.co.uk - where customers can sign up for future special offers.
