Police in Northern Ireland are appealing for information after a defibrilator, which is worth £1,500, was stolen from Rosevale Petrol Station in Newtownards, in the early hours of Saturday morning (April 23).

Police posted a message about the theft on the Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI) Ards Facebook page, saying: “Can you help us solve this disgraceful crime? An unknown young male has stolen a vital life-saving defib from the Rosevale Petrol Station, Ards.

“This occurred sometime in the early hours of this morning. This machine is valued at £1,500 and really can mean the difference between life and death.

“Is this one of your friends who thought he was just having a laugh?”
