One lucky customer at Gulf-branded Three B’s service station in Middleton Cheney, Banbury, has scooped the top prize in Gulf’s Exclusive ‘Powering Le Mans for over 40 years’ competition, winning an exclusive VIP trip to Le Mans 24 Hour race on 13 and 14 June 2015. Peter Charlton, from Middleton Cheney, along with his best friend, will be attending one of the most anticipated events in the racing calendar thanks to Gulf, the iconic brand synonymous with Le Mans.

Peter will receive his tickets for this trip-of-a-lifetime from Paul Muncey, head of rRetail for Certas Energy, which has the Gulf Oil licence in the UK, before he zooms off to Le Mans on 12 June. From start to finish, Peter and his guest will be in the lap of luxury, beginning their Le Mans adventure on Eurostar from King’s Cross Station to Paris then onward to Le Mans.

The prize includes all transfers, so Peter can sit back and relax as Gulf whisks him to his five-star accommodation before being transferred to the Le Mans AMR (Aston Martin Racing) suite and trackside on race day. Into the bargain, Peter’s entry ticket includes access to the paddock area, to soak up the race day excitement and a ‘meet and greet’ in the pits, where he will get the opportunity to talk to the drivers in person and the race team.

Competition winner Peter Charlton commented, “I simply cannot wait. I didn’t imagine for a minute that I’d win so when I got the call from Gulf, I was over the moon. The whole experience will be one I will savour forever. I’m a huge racing fan so, for me, this is the ultimate prize. To be entertained and looked after VIP style by the iconic Gulf and Aston Martin team for the whole event is a dream come true!!”

Site owner Tharmaradnam Rameshkumar added, “I am so happy that one of my loyal customers has won this fantastic prize from Gulf. I have been in this industry for many, many years, and this is one of the best prizes I have ever seen gifted and was a very well-run and most excellent competition and promotion, with a simply fantastic prize at the end, brilliant!!”

Paul Muncey commented: “Thanks to our long-standing relationship with Aston Martin Racing, we are able to offer amazing competition prizes such as this. This is a particularly important year for Gulf and Le Mans as it represents a 45-year association between the two brands, which commenced with shooting the Steve McQueen ‘Le Mans’ film in 1970. Each year both Le Mans and Gulf grow in popularity and attract new fans, which now spans many generations. We look forward to continuing this mutually prosperous relationship for decades to come.”
