Spanish company Jofemar aims to break into UK forecourts with the launch of the Series 2 version of its Gourmet hot food vending machine. The company says the Gourmet dispenses nutritious hot meals automatically. New features include fresh contemporary livery, improved graphics and enhanced LED back lighting.

Touchless installation

European Wash Systems has announced the first installation of a DaergOne Touchless car wash in the UK. The equipment is now in operation at the Simon Smith Group flagship forecourt in Monmouth.

Twix Fino - the new lighter bite from Mars

New Twix Fino is a lighter version of the best-selling countline bar. Based on the original Twix recipe, it combines chocolate and caramel but instead of biscuit, it has a light-textured wafer. Launching this month, it will initially be available through small independent retailers and other impulse outlets.

Peperami's first crowd-sourced ad has made its appearance on TV to support new Peperami Nibblers. Brand owner Unilever received 1,185 entries for the crowd-sourcing initiative. Two were chosen and developed to create the new ad.

Nice and spicy pasty

The latest special-edition pasty from Ginsters is chicken balti, which replaces the ham, leek & cheese variant. The new pasty is made with British chicken marinated in a spicy balti sauce together with potato, onion and peppers in light puff pastry.Recommended retail price is £1.99.

Going croissant crazy

Bakehouse has extended its savoury pastries range with the launch of a ready-filled cheese croissant with gouda. It is made with authentic long-rested, all-butter croissant dough to give a light open texture and rich full flavour. It is filled with 12-month matured gouda.

Halloween hits

McVitie's Cake Company is launching two seasonal limited-edition variants: McVitie's Jaffa Cakes lemon & slime cake bars and Jaffa Cakes spooky mini rolls.

Randoms take off

On September 6, Nestlé Confectionery is launching price-marked packs of Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, Rowntree's Randoms, Smarties hexatube, Milkybar medium and Milkybar Buttons. All are marked at 35p. In addition, each outer of the sweets will include five extra packs free. Rowntree's Randoms is now available in a 195g sharing bag, which retails at £1.45. The launch is being supported by a £3m media spend including a link up with X Factor sensation Jedward for the 'Foamy Gnome on the Roam' hot air balloon tour.

Make a mint at Xmas

Elizabeth Shaw has unveiled its Christmas range which includes seven-piece impulse packs which retail at 99p. Another new line is Elizabeth Shaw mint selection dark and milk mint chocolates infused with mint oils. Rrp is £3.99. The range will be supported by magazine advertising, competitions and promotions as well as sampling at high-profile events.

Spooky threesome

Cadbury is launching three new products for Halloween. Creepy new Dead Heads are mini milk chocolate heads filled with blood red caramel. They come in an 80g bag, rrp £1.09. There are two bag designs; each contain nine individually-wrapped heads.

Toasty treat

Toast Me! is being described as the "world's first toastable meat snack". A big hit in Germany, it is coming to the UK in two varieties: chicken and bacon & egg breakfast.

Saxon's Sonax deal

Saxon is now the exclusive UK distributor for the premium German Sonax car care brand. It is offering eight Sonax products including a cockpit cleaner and polishing wax.
