Coke gets all musical

Coca-Cola is giving consumers the chance to win tickets to live music events every hour of this month. The 'Win gig tickets every hour at' activity is appearing on 2ltr, 330ml, 500ml and 330ml multipacks (sixes and eights) of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero. When they enter, consumers will be asked to select their chosen gig.

Chupa Chups' character Chuck is getting his first ever Facebook campaign in the UK. He is described as a "laid back teenager who, like Chupa Chups confectionery, helps to make life less serious". Product manager for Chupa Chups, David Leal, explained: "This is a first for Perfetti Van Melle as we have never used social media for a Chupa Chups campaign in the UK and are looking forward to seeing the positive impact of this launch on sale here." The Chuck character also appears on his own website: Although lollies are Chupa Chups' flagship lines, the brand now also offers Big Babol bubblegum and Cotton Candy bubblegum, both in strawberry and tutti frutti flavours.

Randoms goes large

Following the huge success of Randoms in impulse bags, the sweets will shortly be available in a 195g share bag. The new bag, which has a recommended retail price of £1.45, will include 10 new shapes including foamy jigsaw pieces, padlocks and diggers. It will be available from August 23.
