PRODUCT NEWS: Bestway extends own brand range

Bestway Wholesale has added a new zero sugar variant to its own label stimulation drink range.

Best-in Zero Sugar Stimulation Drink is a new-formulation carbonated fruit energy drink which is low calorie and contains no sugar.

Nick Brown, category manager for the Best-in family of products, commented: “Zero sugar soft drinks is a growing sector within the category as consumers become more conscious of their sugar intake. Stimulation drinks traditionally contain a high sugar content as a fuel source to increase alertness and energy levels working alongside taurine and caffeine.

“Best-in Zero Sugar has been specially formulated to maintain all the stimulation benefits but with sugar substitutes. The new recipe product is a fantastic and welcome addition to Best-in’s Sports and Energy range.”

The new drink is available in a 250ml impulse can with silver and black livery to ensure maximum on shelf impact and highlights the brand’s ‘Revive & Survive’ slogan.

Brown added: “The success of zero sugar products has grown to a stage where own label can now make a credible entry. Every second of every day a consumer buys a Best-in stimulation drink from an independent retailer with Original Stimulation selling an incredible 250ml can every 1.4 seconds. This shows the strength and sales potential of the brand and I would urge retailers to get behind the new launch and position Zero Sugar next to Original to maximise trial and additional sales.”

Best-in Zero Sugar Stimulation Drink is available in outers of 24 and is price marked 35p.
