Large sharing snack brand Pringles is extending its repertoire for 2011 with the launch of a smokey bacon flavour.

IRI data reveals that bacon is a popular flavour trend for snacks in the UK, showing continual year-on-year growth and now worth a huge 11.2m within large sharing.

This trend is set to continue with the launch of Pringles smokey bacon, which presents retailers with a branded bacon offering that consumers know and trust, among predominantly own label variants that are currently available in the market. Brand owner P&G is giving retailers the chance to win three cases of product; there are five prizes.
