Forecourt store is star of Nisa's first ever TV ad

16 December, 2010

An independent forecourt in the northeast of England has become the location for Nisa-Today’s first ever TV advert.

The Total-branded forecourt’s Nisa-branded convenience store in Stockton-on-Tees will be featured in the £1.3m campaign that breaks on December 27 and will run until February 6.

The advertising campaign, which runs alongside a new trade marketing campaign, follows the launch of Nisa’s new brand positioning and redesigned corporate logo, focusing on its ‘making a difference locally’ strapline.

Neil Turton, chief executive officer at Nisa-Today’s, said: “Each year brings many challenges, but we feel confident that our new consumer and trade marketing campaigns put us in a strong position to not only drive further sales growth through existing members, but to also drive recruitment of new independent retailers and in doing so grow our business as a whole.”

John Stevenson, who runs the forecourt featured in the TV ad, said: “I’m expecting the promotions advertised to drive footfall into the store. We’re a brand new Nisa store in the area. I will be putting a banner on the forecourt and do some local press activity to make sure people know it’s our store in the advert.”

Nisa-Today’s currently delivers to 3,500 stores, 1,500 of which are through Costcutter. Of the remaining 2,000 stores, 800 are Nisa-branded, and there are 350 with forecourts. The wholesaler is expecting to add 200 more stores next year, and 25% of those are estimated to be on forecourts, with 20 sites already in the pipeline.
