P&H Local backed by big sales force

Palmer & Harvey has added a 60-strong sales force for the launch of its P&H Local wholesale offer to retailers.

 

The new wholesale service is aimed at retailers who are using the cash and carry more frequently and topping up more often in a bid to find the best value for money.

 

P&H Local representatives will be visiting outlets and helping retailers decide what they need from more than 6,500 products, completing the order and getting it delivered the next day.

 

Richard Hayhoe, marketing director at Palmer & Harvey, said: "We understand that independent retailers are facing tough competition and are shopping around a lot more for the best deals. More than ever, they're using a variety of sources to replenish their stores.

 

"The P&H Local offer gives retailers all the value and flexibility of cash and carry but without the need to spend valuable time away from their business. We're saving retailers time and money and helping them do what they do best run their stores."

 

The wholesaler is price-checking more than 400 key products against other cash and carries and wholesalers, and guarantees availability on top-selling brands.

 

It is also offering up to 14 days free credit. In between visits, customers will be able to order online or via a dedicated telesales representative.
