Best Confectionery Outlet sponsor NestlÉ

The RoadChef store, Strensham, was selected as winner of the Best Confectionery Outlet. According to Graham Walker, Nestlé UK trade communications manager, the choice was based on the manager's "clear understanding that a category-focused approach to confectionery can grow sales". He adds that the store has adopted shopper-based category principles making it easier for people to shop.

He explains: "The main fixture is grouped by 'need state' and best-selling lines are double-faced these act as 'beacon brands' guiding shoppers to the right area of the fixture. The layout is simple with clear impulse, sharing bag and promotional displays fully-stocked at all times.

"The store demonstrates excellent in-store execution of events by capitalising on new products and promotions. For example, during the launch of Rowntree's Randoms, secondary displays such as counter bins were sited around the store."
