08 December, 2009

Petrol pump advertising specialists Alvern Media is set to become an even bigger player in outdoor advertising sector following its acquisition by T4 Media.

Founded by Mark Stanley, Alvern Media promotes brands on petrol pump nozzles as well as shop front doors of convenience stores on petrol station forecourts for more than 40 fuel retailing partners spanning 4,500 forecourts throughout the UK and Ireland.

Alvern Media was advised by corporate finance boutique, BCMS Corporate and under the terms of the agreement, Mark and his seven-strong team in Surrey will relocate to T4 Media’s new headquarters in Central London in early 2010. Mark will also join the board of T4 Media with immediate effect.

T4 Media is an outdoor transport advertising specialist, founded by Marco Pieters and Paul Daniels in the late 1990s.

Mark Stanley, managing director Alvern Media, said: “We are extremely excited about becoming part of T4 Media and are delighted with the support provided by Sunita Meigh and the team at BCMS Corporate. There are real synergies between both businesses – and I am confident that the new combination of T4 and Alvern, offering an enhanced range of formats, will allow retail clients to increase revenues over time. We are set to become a real force within outdoor advertising, offering one of the most cost-effective and attention-grabbing ways to reach millions of people every day.”

Marco Pieters, CEO of T4 Media, said: “With AdGates and AdBarriers we provide advertisers with an unavoidable and totally measurable opportunity to reach consumers in the ‘third space’ between work and home. Petrol pump nozzles and ‘door media’ complement our existing offering and now, with Alvern Media on board, we believe our clients will benefit from the opportunities associated with partnering with a major media player.”
