== Let there be light ==

Jet has finished the roll-out of new LED pole signs across its UK forecourts. The installation took six months to complete, and the oil company says hundreds of Jet stations are now benefiting from the new digital system which means forecourt staff no longer have to change the signs manually. Prices can be changed via handheld remotes or even with a text message from a mobile phone.

== Totally green idea ==

Total has launched a new fuelcard aimed at helping companies cut their

carbon footprint. With TotalCard green, businesses can calculate CO2 emissions with online reports and build a CO2 reduction plan. Total also offers companies the chance to offset any remaining emissions with a carbon offsetting scheme. Samuel Vermeersch, TotalCard development manager, said: "We understand the issues faced and appreciate that ongoing environmental legislation changes can be hard to implement."

== Holding out for a hero ==

Independent Guy Warner has been named as one of the three finalists in this year's ACS Community Heroes Award. The Warners Retail managing director was named for his businesses in Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
