Murco is moving 62 more of its forecourts over to its state-of-the-art core network to help increase management efficiency. The 62 join 168

other Murco sites in using the Timico-provided network. Umar Bajwa, manager UK networks at Murco Petroleum, explained: "We are expanding our presence in the non-fuel retailing sector and Timico's ability to migrate these 62 new sites smoothly across to our core network means that they will be up and running with our bespoke online reporting procedure very quickly.

"The Timico network has made us much more efficient and allowed us to manage a large and growing network."

Management of Murco's sites used to involve daily reporting - a process that was laborious and always at least two weeks behind. Murco's new online application allows each site manager to enter their report directly into a central system.

"We chose Timico as our technology partner because they understood our technology requirements," said Bajwa. Now that the network is in place, Murco is looking at further efficiencies including an intranet where managers could download general and site-specific information.
