Chevron assumes management of UK terminals

20 February, 2009

Following an extensive review of the company's UK fuel storage facilities, Chevron has taken the decision to return the management of Pembroke, Cardiff and Brighton terminals to full company control. The three terminals

will now be managed by Chevron and all the employees working at these facilities will be transferring to Chevron employment.

Mark While, logistics manager for Chevron in Europe said: “We made this decision in order to improve consistency in standards across all of Chevron’s UK fuel storage facilities and align the UK business with a key global strategy for Chevron to manage and operate its own facilities rather than outsource the management to third parties. From a customer perspective, there will be no significant change with the same contact names and number and the same quality Texaco-branded fuels.”

Texaco is a Chevron company brand. Chevron Corporation is one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies, with subsidiaries that conduct business worldwide. The company’s success is driven by the ingenuity and commitment of approximately 62,000 employees who operate across the energy spectrum. Chevron explores for, produces and transports crude oil and natural gas; refines, markets and distributes transportation fuels and other energy products; manufactures and sells petrochemical products; generates power and produces geothermal energy; provides energy efficiency solutions; and develops the energy resources of the future, including biofuels and other renewables.
