Torex Retail has maintained its "business as usual" stance following another management shake-up in the wake of its recent problems. Geoffrey Forster and David Hallett have resigned as non-executive directors. This comes after Steve Marshall, a former CEO of Railtrack, was appointed non-executive chairman. The company also recently announced £15m-worth of increased bank funding.
Camelot has promised to install an extra 1,300 lottery terminals and expand the Fast Pay system - currently only available in Tesco - if its bid for the third lottery licence is successful. The current operator is up against just one other bidder, India's largest lottery operator Sugal & Damani.Mid Kent Water has become the last water company in southern England to lift its hosepipe ban following above-average rainfall over the winter months.
