05 August, 2015

Britvic Soft Drinks, is launching a reformulated and repackaged Fruit Shoot My-5 range designed to bring the fruit juice drink in line with new regulations on the requirements for school food.

With 75% juice content in a 200ml bottle, the new formula constitutes one of the five recommended portions of fruit and veg per day and will benefit from new packaging featuring the ‘schools compliant’ claim. The new drinks will be available to customers to coincide with the start of the new school year in September, at an RRP of 60p.

Kirsty Hunter, brand director for Stills & Future Brands at Britvic Soft Drinks, commented: “We’re really excited to launch the new Fruit Shoot My-5 ‘schools compliant’ drinks. We place great importance on developing great-tasting fruit juice drinks that kids will love, but that also meet parents’ expectations.

“This new formulation means that parents can be confident when giving their children drinks from the Fruit Shoot My-5 range in that, as well as enjoying the taste, they’ll also be getting one of their five-a-day at the same time. With the ‘schools compliant’ stamp sitting proudly on the new label, we’re confident that this will drive increased sales for our customers for the start of the new school year.”

The new drinks are available in 200ml bottles in Apple and Blackcurrant, Apple and Pear and Orange and Pineapple.
